H&M to open 11th store in Ireland
Top international retailer H&M to open 11th store in Ireland at MacDonagh Junction, Kilkenny.
H&M the Swedish based international retailer are opening a new store this Autumn at the MacDonagh Junction Shopping Centre in Kilkenny City. The H&M store is to comprises c. 12,500 square feet and will trade over two levels in the centre.
Magnus Olsson, H&M’s country manager for the UK and Ireland commented “We are excited to confirm our arrival in MacDonagh Junction Shopping Centre in Kilkenny later on this Autumn. The Store will be our first in the South East of Ireland and we hope that the H&M business concept of fashion and quality at the best price will be well received by local residents!”
TDK Commercial Property Consultants in Belfast handled the acquisition on behalf of H&M. Mark Thallon Retail Partner in TDK commented “We are delighted to have concluded negotiations in this acquisition and have no doubt that the new Kilkenny store will be a great success”
MacDonagh Junction opened in November 2007 in a turbulent retail climate. However over the past 3 years the centre has continued to attract new names and H&M join an already strong International and National tenant line-up including Dunnes, TK Maxx, Next, River Island and Champion Sports, A-Wear, HMV, Pamela Scott and Carraig Donn. The centre is now close to 100% let and has continued to attract new lettings since the opening date.
